Opened in 2007, just off Central Campus.

The Common Cup is a non-profit coffeehouse in the basement of University Lutheran Chapel at 1511 Washtenaw Ave. We exist to leave a mark of God’s love on our community — with excellent drinks, a welcoming room, and partnerships with other local businesses.

Whether you’re stopping in briefly or settling in to study for hours, we’re glad you’re here.

Classics, plus whatever you’d rather drink instead.

Espresso drinks — lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, Americanos — alongside drip and pour-over. If coffee isn’t your thing: teas, chai, Italian sodas, and smoothies. Baked goods come from local bakeries.
